How does it work?

It's easy. We offer flexible prepaid rent plans of 1, 6 and 12 months so you can choose the plan that best suits your family.

As soon as you have purchased a subscription of your choice, we will send you your first Tribu-Box with toys that meet your child's developmental needs at that time. 

You can return this box at any time, whenever you and your little one are ready to say goodbye to the toys. As soon as we have received your previous box, your next box will be on its way to you immediately.

Is Tribu a rental service?

Yes, our Tribu Toys should be passed on from child to child. Tribu is a high quality rental service for educational toys and activity boxes.

We firmly believe that the rental model contributes to our pillar of sustainability.

Why rent and not sell?

We have great sustainability dreams. In our honest opinion, selling new goods just doesn't fit in with it.

What is your philosophy

We believe toys should be fun for both parents and children, but they should also be educational and durable. It shouldn't clutter our homes and thus complicate our already challenging parental duties. We firmly believe that things can be made easier and better.

Our promise to you goes far beyond sustainability, circular economy or a tidy home. We're committed to providing you with educational, safe, and clean toys that your children can use and enjoy. Our responsibility also extends to the content that we select for you. Every single toy and the guide has been curated based on extensive scientific research and the expertise of each of our board of experts. We work every day to provide parents with the best resources for child development in a sustainable and easily digestible way.

Are tribu toys safe for my child?


You can be sure that every Tribu toy that your baby touches is not only designed to last but also meets and exceeds the health, safety and environmental standards for toys sold in the European Economic Area. After a box is returned, each toy is rigorously inspected, disinfected and if necessary, repaired.

Are your toys and guides approved by experts?


Every toy and instruction in your Tribu-Box has been carefully curated based on extensive scientific research. As an added filter, all of our materials have been reviewed and approved by professionals in the child-development arena.

My child damaged one of the toys. What now?

These things happen and there is absolutely no problem as your subscription includes a rental insurance.

The whole point of our project is of course, that toys are used over and over again, plus we absolutely trust that you will take care of them as if it were your own. So if a toy has been damaged, it's no big deal. Just do the following:

1. Quit immediately stop using the toy
2. Inform us about  support@tribu-box.com, so that we can give you a replacement immediately send be able
3. Send all the toys (Incl. of the broken toy) back to us at the end of your rental period.

We will repair it and if it is beyond repair we will properly dispose of it for recycling. You won't be charged any fees for broken toys.

Can I buy toys from my Tribu Box?


Sometimes our babies (or we) get attached to a specially nice toy. You can keep it forever if you like. You don't have to do anything, as soon as we receive your box back, we will check for missing toys and they will be charged with the corresponding costs for the missing toys (fees go between €10 and €40 depending on the toy).

From what age can my child play with Tribu toys?

From birth.

Will instructions come with the toys in my box?


Each individual box contains a step-by-step parental guide backed by extensive research and approved by experts in children's development. Everything you need to know, summarized and showcased in a crystal clear format for busy parents.

How do I store my Tribu toy?

Keep it in the box we sent it in, in a dry and cool place.

And we strongly recommend sending the toy back in the same box after the rental period.

Reusing is amusing, they say! :) .

Can I clean my Tribu toys?


Just use a slightly damp cloth and be gentle.

How do I choose the right level for my child?

Each box is carefully curated based on your child's age. So when you're on the product page, simply choose the box that matches your baby's age. Remember that you can keep each box for as long as you like, you are the expert when it comes to your child.

Up to what age can my child use Tribu toys?

0 to 24 months.


What is in my Tribu Box?

You get:

1. An average of 6 high quality educational toys in each box

2. A step-by-step guide for parents.

3. Shipping and returns are included from a rental period of 3 months.

4. The confidence that everything has been checked and approved by experts.

How does the subscription really work?

Easy peasy.

We offer flexible prepaid toy rental plans of monthly, 6 and 12 months so you can choose the plan that best suits your family.

The Tribu cycle works as follows:

1. You choose a Tribu Box and subscription that suits your family's needs.

2. Your Tribu Box will be delivered directly to your door on the selected shipping date and you will enjoy it to the fullest.

3. If you want to say goodbye to your first Tribu Box, you can send it back to us.

4. As soon as we have received your previous box, your next box will be on its way to you. Meanwhile, the toys from your previous box will be disinfected, repaired (if necessary) and sent to another family.

5. As soon as your prepaid subscription has ended, your subscription will automatically be converted into a monthly subscription. You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time!

What does the rental insurance cover?


We know children should play and they should play how they want. We don't want parents to worry if their children break a toy or get it dirty. Our toys are super good quality and made to last, but life happens. All you have to do is send the toy back with the rest of the toys of your Tribu box, you will not be charged for any damage.

Please note that missing parts and / or a missing toy will be billed accordingly.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

You can view, manage and / or cancel a subscription in your personal Tribu account. We have made sure that we offer you transparent, flexible and stress-free pricing with no surprises.

Monthly subscriptions can be canceled at any time. Please note that prepaid subscriptions cannot be canceled before the agreed time.

Are the toys in my Tribu-Box clean and hygienic?

This is a question we receive A LOT! And of course we understand why. This is a very important issue for every parent, specially in COVID times. So we wanted to take the time to tell you more about our sanitation process. Every time we receive a Tribu Box 1. CLEANING 🧼 - Removes dirt and other impurities. - We use water and mild cleaners 2. DISINFECTING 🦠 - Kills germs - We use a 100% vegetable disinfectant without petrochemicals. 3. STERILIZATION ✨ - Removes all microorganisms - We use double UV-C and UVA LEDs

What about the return cost?

Free but...

The return costs are always included for rentals of at least three months. We only have to ask you an additional € 4.99 for short-term rentals (1 or 2 months).

Do I have to return the toy?

Yes and no.

Yes, our tribu cycle works in such a way that toys are passed down from child to child.

No, we understand that you might want to keep a toy. Sometimes our babies (or we) are attached to a nice toy. You can keep it. You don't have to do anything else, we will check the toys as soon as we receive the box and debit your account with the corresponding costs for the missing toys.

The logistics fees are based on the new price of the toy and the cost of the replacement. These fees range between € 10 and € 40. List of logistics charges.

What about the shipping costs?

Free but...

The shipping costs are always included for rentals of at least three months. We only have to ask you an additional € 4.99 for short-term rentals (1 or 2 months).

When should I return the toy?

We offer absolute flexibility. You can always return your Tribu-Box when you are ready to receive the next one. No rush, no pressure. Your child's time is the best time.

What if I lost a toy?

This is a pity.

We're a very small company, so we can't afford to pay for lost toys. We know you will understand. A small amount will be charged to your account. Please also note that an incomplete toy is also considered a lost toy.

You don't have to do anything, we will check the stock as soon as we receive the box and debit your account with the corresponding costs for the missing toys.

The fees are between 10 and 40 euros.


Where do you ship to?

We offer free shipping & returns in Germany for rentals of at least 3 months.

We also offer shipping and returns to all EU countries at the reduced price of € 5.99 each way. This fee is calculated at the checkout depending on the prepaid tariff selected.

I didn't like my tribu box. Can I return it?


That makes us sad, but we understand that not everyone loves pre-loved toys. If you are not satisfied with your first Tribu-Box, please contact us and let us know how we can help you. We take great pride in our carefully crafted boxes.

However, if you are still not satisfied, you can return your first box within 14 days of receipt for a full refund, minus the shipping costs. We don't like complicated return procedures.

I'm pregnant. Can I pre-order my Tribu-box?


If you are pregnant, you can easily choose a shipping date close to your due date at checkout. We recommend ordering it a little in advance so that you have the time to set everything up for baby with time.


What happens to the toys I returned?

Magical things.

After a box is returned, each toy is thoroughly checked, disinfected and (if necessary) repaired. Toys that are still in excellent condition will be selected to be repacked into a new Tribu box for another child.

If the toy is still great but doesn't quite meet the highest standards we have set for Tribu Box rental, we'll donate it and if it's irreparably damaged we'll properly dispose of it for recycling.
